The St. Meinrad Volunteer Fire Department, in Conjunction with the Early Days Antique Club, will host an Open House at the St. Meinrad Community Center and Park on Sunday, October 4, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Central.
All are welcome to come eat, view the trucks and antiques, visit with the members, and of course buy some last minute raffle tickets ($5 apiece) with a first prize of $1,000.
Purchase chicken and pork chop dinners between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Hamburgers, cheeseburgers and ice cream novelties will also be available. The raffle drawing will be held at 2:30 p.m.
The Antique Tractor Show will feature Allis Chalmers and Deutz equipment with demonstrations of wheat threshing, corn shredding, shelling and grinding, silage chopping, buck sawing and a vertical saw mill.
A tractor parade will take place at 1:30 p.m. with judging at 2 p.m. Plaques will be awarded.
