Terry Dale “Dobbs” Rice, 70, of Rockport, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville.
Terry was born in Grandview on June 17, 1954, to Albert and Lucille (Jones) Rice.
Terry had worked with Local Labor Union No. 561 out of Evansville. A veteran of the United States Army, he was a life-long member of Rockport American Legion Jenkins Post 254. Terry was also a member of Grandview Masonic Lodge No. 191.
Terry enjoyed bowling, playing pool, collecting baseball cards, and playing poker.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Claude Rice, Pete Rice and Larry Rice; grandson, Dylan Somers; and brother-in-law, Gene Jones.
Terry is survived by his wife of 23 years, Cindy Rice; daughter, Tabitha Rice, sons, Troy Duncan (Joey), Bryan Duncan, daughter Aleisha Uppencamp (Shane); grandchildren Jeffery, Luci, Diamond, Braxton, Jesse and Myah; great-grandchildren Mary Kate and Alayah; and sister, Jane Jones.
Services are 6 p.m. Friday, December 27, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, with Pastor Carl Jones officiating. A Masonic service will start at 5:45 p.m.
