Three COVID-19 cases identified in Perry County

Late last night, the Perry County Health Department was notified that a resident of Perry County has tested positive for COVID-19. This is the first reported positive case to the Health Department. This morning, The Perry County Health Department learned of the 2nd and 3rd residents of Perry County to have tested positive for COVID-19. The Perry County Health Department is working closely with the Indiana State Department of Health and local officials to ensure that contacts of the patients are identified and monitored. The Health Department will continue to monitor these patients very closely  along with the County Health Officer, which is Dr. Williams Marcrum, to ensure the patients continue to remain in isolation. Anyone who may have an exposure risk will be notified about potential exposures so that appropriate infection control procedures can be followed. All patients are in isolation. No additional information about the patients will be released due to privacy laws.

The Perry County Health Department will continue to update the residents of Perry County of and additional positive cases that are identified.
