Virginia Ann (Ball) Hardy, 87, of Rockport passed away peacefully at Woodmont Health Campus in Boonville, on Tuesday, March 26, 2024.
She was born to Frank James and Gertrude Rose Ball in Richlands, Virginia on April 8, 1936.
She was married to William Douglas Hardy from August 31, 1957, until his death on February 3, 2010.
Virginia enjoyed gardening and being a volunteer at Lincoln Pioneer Village Museum in Rockport. She was also a member of First Methodist Church in Tennyson.
In addition to her parents and husband, Virginia was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Melinda Carol Long of Rockport, and her son, Kenneth L. Hardy and his wife, Jenny, of Gentryville; her grandchildren, Jon Vincent Deeg and his wife, Sabrina, Aaron Hardy and his girlfriend, Kara, Melissa Greene and her husband, Nathan, Shannon Long and her boyfriend, Richard, and Logan Brock and his wife, Shelby; and by five great-grandchildren.
Services are 2 p.m. Monday, April 1, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, with Reverend Doug Parlin officiating.
Visitation is from 12 until 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
