Spencer and Dubois County COVID-19 Reports – March 3, 2021

On Wednesday, the Spencer County Health Department recorded 2,307 total cases of COVID-19 (seven new). There are currently 18 people in home isolation and 2,261 have recovered. No new deaths were reported; the total stands at 28. County metrics are updated on Wednesdays, and Spencer County retained its Yellow designation for the second week in a row. Long term care facility numbers are also updated on Wednesdays, and none of Spencer County’s three nursing homes reported any new cases or deaths during the last period. The Health Department also reports that, so far, 3,391 Spencer Countians have had the first of their COVID vaccinations, and 1,594 are fully vaccinated.

On Wednesday, March 3, the Indiana State Department of Health recorded seven new cases of COVID-19 in Dubois County, bringing the total to 5,923. There were no new deaths reported and the total stands at 111. County metrics are also reported on Wednesdays and, after a week in the Blue, Dubois County slipped back into the Yellow zone. Long term care facility numbers are also updated on Wednesdays. Only two facilities showed any new cases – Cathedral reported fewer than five new cases and Timbers of Jasper reported fewer than five new cases and fewer than five new deaths during the period.
