Zelda F. Foertsch, 93, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, in Evansville.

Zelda was born March 29, 1929, in Perry County, the daughter of the late Fred and Eva (Thiery) Falls. She was united in marriage on May 12, 1950, to the late Wallace Foertsch.

Zelda worked at GE and retired from Holiday Foods in Santa Claus. She enjoyed reading, Bible study, puzzles, and attending Little Pigeon Baptist Church.

Surviving are her daughter, Gail (Michael) Hemingway of Santa Claus; brothers, Wayne (Faye) Falls of Tell City and Don Falls of Texas; grandchildren, Angie (Alan) Gilmore, Brandee Mckim, Shane Hemingway, Jered (Becky) Hemingway, Keri (Stephen) Montgomery; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Zelda was preceded in death by her siblings, Lela Blandford, Jim Falls and Opal Nix.

Visitation will be held at Little Pigeon Baptist Church of Lamar, on Saturday, September 24, from 10 a.m. until service time.

Funeral services will be held at Little Pigeon Baptist Church at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 24, with Pastor Bob Duley officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview New Hope Cemetery.
