John G. Elliott, age 63, of Dale, passed away at 1:50 a.m., Sunday, June 14, 2026, at The Waters of Rockport.
John was born on April 13, 1963, in Kirkwood, Missouri, to John and Inez (Renteria) Elliott. He enjoyed attending concerts, spending time at Lincoln State Park, gathering with family, and celebrating the Fourth of July with fireworks. A devoted sports fan, John loved cheering on the Indianapolis Colts, the St. Louis Cardinals, and the Heritage Hills Patriots football team. Above all, he treasured the time he spent with his family and had a special affection for animals.
He was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by two children, Jayna (Rich) Garza of Hawesville, Kentucky and Tyler (Brooke) Elliott of Lewisport, Kentucky; his mother, Inez Elliott of Dale; four siblings, Gerry Elliott of Colorado, Marty Elliott of Dale, Manny Elliott of San Diego and Louie Elliott of Dale; and by two grandchildren, Ronin Thomas and Reagan Elliott.
A memorial gathering will take place on Friday, June 26, from 4-7 p.m., C.D.T.; also on Saturday, June 27, from 9-11 a.m., C.D.T., at Rainey Funeral Home in Dale.
