Alice F. Alvey of Rockport, passed away at Deaconess Memorial Medical Center in Jasper on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 surrounded by her family.
Alice was born April 10, 1945 to Forrest and Ella (Wilgus) Tindle in Owensboro, KY.
Alice loved to play games, work a good puzzle, and do word searches. She loved having visitors. She was a western fan and loved a good western T.V. show and movie. She loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. Alice was always said to have a smile on her face and a happy word for those she came into contact with. Alice will be deeply missed.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles Alvey, daughter Mary Alvey, and sons Ronnie Alvey and Lonnie Alvey.
Alice is survived by her children, son Donald Alvey and daughter Sandy Bryant McDowell (Bob), grandchildren Kaylee Alvey, Cristal Trotter, Crystal Mattingly, Whitney Stimple, Dakota Alvey, Samuel Alvey, Devin Alvey, along with 12 great-grandchildren; her brother Donnie Tindle, with many other nieces, nephews and extended family.
Services for Alice were held at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport on Monday, March 30, with Bro. Justin Hadler officiating. Burial took place at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Rockport.
The family would like to thank the care givers through Team Select, and also Scenic Hills Nursing Home for the care and comfort they provided.
