John William “Bill” Sisley, 73, of Grandview, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2020 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro, Kentucky.
Bill was born in Evansville on July 3, 1947, to Clarence Ray and Nina Yvonne (Smith) Sisley.
Bill was a member of Midway United Methodist Church.
A lifelong farmer, Bill enjoyed bird hunting and being outdoors.
He enjoyed playing baseball and was a 1965 graduate of Chrisney High School, where he was a member of the starting five basketball team who won the first sectional championship.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Ray Sisley.
He is survived by his wife, Janis Sisley, of Grandview; daughters, Amy Wiles and her husband, Doug, of Scottsville, KY, and Emily Neighbors and her husband, Nick, of Grandview; his grandchildren, Gabriel Wiles, Alexander Wiles, Lauren Hawk, Cole Neighbors and Lane Neighbors; his mother, Yvonne Sisley; several close family members and friends.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 27, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, with Mitch and Tammy Gieselman, Clergy, officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery in Newtonville.
Visitation is 4 until 8 p.m. Saturday, December 26, and from 12 p.m. until the time of service Sunday at the funeral home.
