Mary J. Lloyd, 96, of Rockport, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Rockport.
Mary was born in Indianapolis on March 24, 1926, to the late Herbert B. and Imogene (Kinney) Lloyd.
She had been a deputy treasurer at the Spencer County Court House and had worked for the Spencer County Leader and Journal Democrat, retiring at the age of 84.
Mary was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Rockport and Odd Fellows & Rebekah Lodge, a retired member of the senior volunteer program, and a devoted South Spencer Booster Club member.
Mary is survived by her first cousin, Chris Kinney of Puerto Vallarta, MX; second cousins, Christina Hall of Long Beach, CA, and Cheryl Meade of Yuma, AZ; her Miller’s Merry Manor family; and her friend and pastoral visitor, Jim Davis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John M. Lloyd.
Services are 12 p.m. Thursday, June 23, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, with Jim Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery
Visitation is 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
