Melissa L. Philipps, 60, of Dale, passed away at her home on Monday, July 27, 2020.
She was born August 25, 1959, in Evansville to Bill Montgomery Sr. and Carolyn (St. Clair) Purviance. She married Dennis L. Philipps on July 22, 1988, at Lake Cumberland, TN.
Melissa enjoyed camping, planting flowers and being with friends. She was an Auxiliary Member of Dale American Legion Post 444.
Surviving are her husband of 32 years, Dennis Philipps of Dale; a daughter, Sarah (John) Mick of Gentryville; two step-children, Julie Dicus of Dale and David (Chris) Roush of Ireland; her mother and stepfather, Jim and Carolyn Purviance of Dale; brothers, Jim Purviance and Bill Montgomery, both of Boonville; sisters, Sandy (Mark) Springstun and Patty (Greg) Wilkins, all of Dale; and five grandchildren, Olivia, Ireland, Dakota, Kelsie and Tyler.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Montgomery Sr.
