Students and staff at Nancy Hanks Elementary had a busy last week of school, with Wednesday being particularly eventful. Even before the afternoon rains, there was plenty of water flowing on the school grounds. Students engaged in a number of water-based activities, from launching giant slingshots laden with wet sponges, dodge ball with water bombs, as well as two large water slides for various different age groups. Classes cycled from activity to activity, getting wetter all the while. It was good practice for summer fun now that school is out.
