Vera L. Zingraf, 80, Indianapolis

Vera L. Zingraf, 80, passed away November 14, 2019. 

She was born June 12, 1939 in Ferdinand to the late Albert J. and Verena (Gogel) Wirthwein. 

A 1957 graduate of St. Ferdinand High School, she received her Associate’s Degree in accounting in 1959 from Evansville Business College. She married Richard Zingraf, and was an executive secretary for Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Co. for eight years. She retired as Secretary-Treasurer of A.F. Deaney Equipment Co. in Indianapolis after 27 years.

Survivors include her children, Timothy P. (Patty) Zingraf of Danville, CA, Peter J. (Rindy) Zingraf of Indianapolis, Michael F. (Kelly) Zingraf of Fishers and Kimberly A. Zingraf of Carmel; seven granddaughters, Paige Zingraf of Livermore, CA, Abigail Zingraf of Boulder, CO, Courtney Johnson, Madeline and Noelle Zingraf, all of Indianapolis, and Olivia and Ella Zingraf of Fishers; her twin sister, Rosie L. (Dan) Hauser of Schnellville; and brother, Michael A. (Patty) Wirthwein.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Zingraf; brother, Paul J. Wirthwein; sisters, Mary V. Steltenpohl and Betty L. Hoffman; beloved niece, Rebecca H. Klem; and great-nephew, Ian King.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, November 30, at 10 a.m. CST, in the church she attended with her family during her childhood, Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Mariah Hill. The family invites all guests to join them for a luncheon at the Schnitzelbank in Jasper immediately following the service.
