An additional 151 cases of COVID-19 were reported over the weekend (95 on Saturday and 56 on Sunday), along with the county’s 37th death.

Vaccinations for health care workers and residents of long-term care facilities are currently underway. An advisory committee for the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) voted Sunday afternoon to recommend the next round of vaccines go to those age 75 and older, along with essential workers such as firefighters, police officers, teachers and grocery store workers.

The CDC also discussed who should be included in the third round – people age 65-75, as well as those age 16-64 with high-risk medical conditions, and remaining essential workers.
