Over the past week and a half, Spencer County has seen the number of newly reported COVID-19 cases increase significantly.
Numbers for the last eight days:
1/14/22 – 44 new cases.
1/15/22 – 11 new cases.
1/16/22 – 28 new cases.
1/17/22 – 43 new cases.
1/18/22 – 78 new cases.
1/19/22 – 49 new cases.
1/20/22 – 63 new cases.
1/21/22 – 80 new cases.
These total in at 396 new cases over the course of roughly one week. Over the weekend, a total of 75 new cases were reported.
1/22/22 – 32 cases
1/23/22 – 43 cases
Yesterday, the Spencer County Health Department reported 82 new cases, and 567 people in active home isolation.
The total number of recorded cases in Spencer County has risen to 5,216.
